Novexin welcomes Jon Goodall
Novexin is pleased to announce the recruitment of Dr Jon Goodall to the scientific development team. Jon holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham and has previously worked for Roche and Basilea Pharmaceutica. Jon's skills in enzymology, protein chemistry and molecular biology will help Novexin to rapidly develop its proprietary protein refolding technology.

Additional patent filed
Recently Novexin has filed a new patent application covering protein purification methods. Novexin believes it has now secured its platform technology for a wide variety of biotech applications. The company will now focus on the implementation of its innovating technology in consumer-friendly laboratory kits which will soon be available to the public.

Presentation at GEIF
In light of its first fundraising Novexin presented its business ideas on protein refolding at the latest Great Eastern Investment Forum "presentation day" on the 18th of September 2003. Novexin wins £10,000 in the Cambridge University Entrepreneurs Business Plan Competition
Six months of hard work have finally paid off. On Friday 8th May 2003, Novexin was announced as Runner-Up in the Cambridge University Entrepreneurs Business Plan Competition. The Novexin team was very pleased with this outcome and will use this prize money to help grow the company through its startup phase.

Presenting at ERBI
Novexin pitched its business plan and technology at the 6th edition of the Cambridge Biopartnering Exchange Event organised by Eastern Region Biotechnology Initiative (ERBI). Many leaders of well respected biotech companies such as Cambridge Antibodies and Alizyme were present at the event. The company received a good response from the well respected audience and hopes to build on the contacts it has made.
