Kit enables flexibility in development and optimization of ELISA assays
Cambridge, UK, 09 May 2017: Expedeon (Innova), a specialist provider of bioconjugation products and services, today announced it has introduced the FlexLISA® kit, providing a flexible tool for development and optimization of sandwich ELISA assays.
The FlexLISA kit allows researchers to covalently conjugate up to 3 capture and 3 detection antibodies using Innova’s Lightning-Link® technology, with any antibody of their choice. As each Lightning-Link kit within the FlexLISA kit contains 3 reactions, multiple conjugation reactions can be run at the same time.
The FlexLISA kit has been designed to allow fast and reliable sandwich ELISA assay development, screening of antibody pairs and ELISA assay optimization, for detection of the presence of any antigen with a high affinity for any antibody pair in complex samples (serum, plasma, urine, etc.). The kit reduces costs as the 96 strip well-plate is pre-coated with biotin to bind capture antibody conjugates with high affinity, so less capture antibody (up to 40 times less) is required compared to a standard ELISA. Researchers also save time, as the FlexLISA assay is a one-step protocol requiring only an hour of incubation time.
Anna Sereni, Head of R&D at Expedeon, commented: “The FlexLISA kit provides researchers with optimum flexibility, and is ideal for quick and reliable ELISA assay development. This is a valuable addition to Innova’s product offering.”
